Dam Being Raised
Starting in 1935, O'Shaughnessy Dam was raised 85 feet to 312 feet. This expansion increased the capacity of the reservoir by 75%. This view shows the dam in December 1936. The aggregate plant is visible above the dam where the backpacker camps are today. (Tuolumne County)
